About the Three Village and Surrounding Areas

The Three Village area is one of Long Island’s most charming, alluring and historical areas. It’s filled with parks, ponds, beautiful beaches, quaint shops and fabulous restaurants. Not to mention it’s also home to SUNY Stony Brook University! Be sure to visit the Stony Brook’s town’s center where the eagle that graces the Stony Brook town post office flaps its wings at noon! Three Village towns include Old Field, Poquott, Setauket, East Setauket, South Setauket, and Stony Brook.

A bit further east past the Three Village area resides the town of Port Jefferson. “Pt. Jeff,” as it is referred to by the locals, is a wonderful seaside village that features upscale shops and restaurants, jazz clubs, an excellent theater, ice cream shops, art galleries and more. For those longing to visit New England, a trip across the Long Island Sound to Connecticut is just 1 hour and 10 minutes away on the Port Jefferson Ferry!
